Fjorddal — dansk mousserende Pinot Noir fra Holbæk Fjord
Anno 2014A small vineyard by the fjord.
Located in the valley by Holbæk Fjord, the Fjorddal vineyard represents a small but ambitious Danish vineyard. Since the first vines were planted in 2014, the coastal climate and mineral-rich ancient fjord bed have created a unique terroir.
Vineyard work is the heart of production. Both plant care and harvest are done by hand, and the size of the plot makes it possible to attend to every single detail – to the benefit of quality.
Fjorddal produces a sparkling wine from Pinot Noir and a white wine from Solaris.
“One plot. One grape. One vintage.”
Each bottle bears the name of its vintage and expresses Fjorddal's philosophy: one plot, one grape, one vintage.
Every year the work continues to create a sparkling Pinot Noir in Denmark that can stand side by side with the best from France.

Pinot Noir
The sparkling Pinot Noir is Fjorddal's signature wine. It is made by the Méthode Traditionnelle with at least two years of bottle fermentation – often significantly longer. This gives fine, persistent bubbles and a mineral depth sprung from the ancient fjord bed, from which the vine roots draw their nourishment.

Solaris
The Solaris grapes are hand-picked and fermentation takes place in steel tanks, preserving the white wine's freshness and fruity character
